Who we are
VRISA is a family olive orchard that offers tree adoptions, gifts that fund new trees, and the Olive Oil Club, a recurring olive oil delivery. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, forms, phone line and checkout, how we use it, and the choices you have. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean VRISA.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, the name of a gift recipient, and anything you write in a message or form.
- Order and gift details: what you adopted, gave or subscribed to, amounts, dates, delivery schedule and shipping status.
- Payment information: card payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number.
- Calls and messages: if you call us, our virtual assistant may take a message, and a recording or transcript of the call may be kept so we can respond.
- Website data: basic technical information such as the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar tools so the site works and so we can understand how it is used.
How we use it
- To process adoptions, gifts and Olive Oil Club orders, ship deliveries and send receipts, certificates and tracking.
- To reply to your messages and calls.
- To send updates about your tree, the trees you funded, or your subscription.
- To send our newsletter, only if you asked for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep accurate records, meet our legal and tax obligations, and prevent fraud.
Text messages
If you opt in to text messages, we will send messages about your enquiry, orders and deliveries. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchase. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text message opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the orchard's business, such as our website and customer management platform, our payment processor, email and text message providers, and shipping carriers, and only so they can do that work for us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep order, gift and payment records for as long as we need them for accounting and legal purposes, and other information for as long as it is useful to serve you. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, unsubscribe from emails, and opt out of texts at any time. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what we collect and the right to delete it, and we will not treat you differently for using them. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will reply within two business days to confirm we have it.
Children
Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
